The Blessing of Obedience

The Lord Bless Thee!

If you listen diligently to the voice of the Lord, to observe and to do all his commandments, blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee: “Blessed in the city; in the field; fruit of thy body; fruit of thy ground; fruit of thy cattle; Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store; Blessed when you come in; blessed when thou go out. The Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou set your hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the Lord your God give thee. The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of your hand: and thou shall lend unto many nations, and thou shall not borrow. And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shall be above only, and thou shall not be beneath; (Deu 28:1-14) The Lord shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life. In the lawsuit Covenant Moses charged the people…. saying, These shall stand upon mount Gerizim to bless the people…Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin: . Blessings and curses are the reality of the covenant. The Ten Commandments is entrusted to angels. Angels are the the apostles (messengers) of the Ten Commandments. It is their duty to administer blessing and curses for obedience and disobedence respectively. They are ministering spirits, sent to minister for them who are heirs of salvation. The Ten Commandments spoken by angels is stedfast, and they mete out to every transgressor and disobedient, punishment commensurate with the sin. The vengence of Angels for transgression against the Ten Commandments is inescapable. If one should violate the Sabbath, but does not commit adiltery; sh/e is still a transgressor and is justly punished by the angels. The angels are here to help; it just so happen that due to sin, a great deal of judgment is executed. (Psalm 128:5; Deu 27:11-13).

The Law of Blessings

And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God. Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out. The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways. The Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. The Lord shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways. And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the Lord; and they shall be afraid of thee. And the Lord shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers to give thee. The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them, (Deu 28:1-13; Psa 71:20; 80:18; 119:25, 37, 40, 88, 107, 149, 154, 156, 159; 143:1; Joh 5:21; 6:63; Rom 8:11; 1Co 15:45; 2Co 3:6; 1Pe 3:18 ).
