The Ministration of Condemnation
The Ministry of Death, is the angelic ministration of condemnation. God has made angels the apostles of the Old Testament. They are the ministers, not of the spirit, but of the the letter of the Law. The letter kills and ministers death. The letter is engraved, not on the fleshy tables of the heart; but in stones. Each commandment has an enforcement provision attached. This way all who transgress the commandments are engaged in a war with the angels. A war that the angels win every time; for the angels commit to Satan's tribulations all that consistently rebel and refuse to learn the requirements of the letter of the law. The letter of the law is glorious. It was attended by an glorious array of angelic beings. It was so glorious, until the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance. The angels of God can execute judgment against you or for you.
The Angels Fight Against Transgressors
The giving of the law at Sinai by angels was attended by death to men or beast who approached the mountain. For they came unto the mount that should not be touched, and that burned with fire; They came unto blackness, darkness, and tempest; They came unto the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; They came unto a voice which when they heard, entreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more. They came unto the mount: that they could not endure that which was commanded. They came unto the mount, that if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart; for so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake. This ministration of condemnation was gloriously pointing to that glory which is made more glorious. This ministration of death was to be succeeded and exceeded by the ministration of righteousness. 2Co 3:6-10; Heb 12:18-21.
The Ten Commandments is not death; it ministers death because it is the ministry of the letter of the law. It reveals the will of God; and approves the things that are more excellent. It is for purposes of instruction. It is a guide of the blind; a light to them which are in darkness; an instructor of the foolish; a teacher of babes; it has the form of knowledge and of truth. It is written so that God might be justified in his sayings, and might overcome when men are judged. It is written to prove that all men are sinners, and that God alone is just. It is written, so that we might know that there is none righteous, no, not one; that there is none that understand; that there is none that seek after God.
It is written so that we may know that all are gone out of the way; that all are together become unprofitable; that there is none that doeth good, no, not one. It is written, so that we might know that all out throats is an open sepulcher; that all our tongues we have used for deceit; that the poison of asps is our lips: that our mouth is full of cursing and bitterness; that our feet are swift to shed blood. These things were written that we might know that destruction and misery is in our ways; and the way of peace we have not known; and that there is no fear of God before our eyes. The law was spoken and written by angels, that every mouth may be stopped, and that all the world may become guilty before God. It was not written so that flesh might be justified; because by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight. The law was written on stone and attended by thousands upon thousands of angels so that we might know what is the nature of sin, and what it is that is required of us by God. Rom 2:18-20; 3:10-20.
Thus, death come to all who commits adultery. Death come to all who disobeys their parent. Death come to all who refuse to observe the Sabbath. Death come to all who takes the Lord name in vain. Death come to all who revere any God except Christ. Death come to all who takes his name in vain. Death come to all who to fornicates, lie, steal, murder or covet; for the Law ministers death against all transgressors. This penal code is under the jurisdiction of the angels of God. And all who wilfully transgress it, do a disservice to their own soul. This letter was engraved on stone, that all will know they have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. This letter was engraved on stone, that all will know that, the angels of God, are duty bound to execute vengeance upon all transgressors; and that there is no escaping their judgment.
By the offence of Adam, judgment came upon all men to condemnation. Adam's disobedience made all men sinners. The written law placed all under the penalty of death; for Adam's sin made all human nature prone to sin. As a result of Adam's transgression, all men have inherited a rebellious nature; a nature deprived of obedience and the glory of God. The law was written, that all might know that they stand under condemnation, Romans 5:18-20.
The law was written, that all might know, that sin has dominion over all flesh born of the flesh. The law was written, that all might know that sin is in the flesh at birth; and no amount of soap can purge it away; and because we are born with sin in our flesh, we are born under the penalty of death. We are born under judgment. We are born with an infirmity of the flesh. We are born as servants of sin. We are born in sin and shaped in iniquity and for which we receive death. The flesh is influenced by and has an affection or love for sin. The flesh desires to sin. The desire for sin, is in human flesh. Because the flesh desires sin and the Law condemns sin; the flesh sins even more; for what the flesh knows to be sin,that is what it desires.
Therefore, the knowledge of sin, begets more sin. The Law does not beget sin. Sin beget sin. Sin hold us in transgression against the Law. Sin holds us in death.Sin uses the Law to sin even more. Sin deceives human nature, and by the deception of sin, human nature experiences condemnation, judgment and death. Sin spring afresh every time it hears the requirement of the Law; for sin is against the will of God. Sin has it own mind; it seeks it's own pleasure. Sin disregards everything except itself. Sin operates according to it's own law: the law of sin; and the law of sin is death; but sin is death, because God has declares sin to be death. This is the deception. Sin doesn't say it is death. God says sin is death, because sin is against the will and nature of God. Rom 6:17-19; 7:5-19.
The flesh can not meet the requirement of righteousness in the law; for as concerning the law, the flesh is afflicted with sin; and the only provision the Law has to deal with flesh is punishment. The law has no provision to assist man meeting the requirements of the will of God. The Law is written so that we might know the will of God. Sin takes advantage of the Law to deceive us and keep us in bondage to sin; since sin tells us that it is impossible to please God.; and that God is unjust to require of righteousness. The law is not sin; the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. Sin is sin; and sin says continue in sin. To wit the Law responses with the penalty of death. The commandment is not ordained to death. The commandment is ordained to life. Sin is ordained to death. The law in our flesh war against the law of our mind, and bring us me into captivity to the law of sin. Rom 7:23.
His Angels also have responsibility to assist the believers that follow the doctrine of the apostles. Every child of God has an angel in heaven beholding the face of God. His Angels gathers together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Legions of angels can be sent to our assistance. Angels are sent to minister unto us Mar 1:13; Mat 18:1; Mat 24:3; 26:53;
For those that follow Christ according to the apostolic doctrine; the angels of God insure that no evil befall us; they insure that no plague come nigh our dwelling. The angels of God has charge over us, to keep us in all our ways. They shall bear us up in their hands, lest we dash thy foot against a stone. When we tread upon the lion and adder; they ensure that we are not injured. They ensure that we trample under feet, the young lion and the dragon. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. It is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee. Whosoever shall confess the apostle's doctrine before men, Christ shall confess our name before the angels of God; he tells the angels our name, and commands them to assist us. . He does name those to the angel that are disobedient to the apostle's doctrine. Angels are commanded to rejoice when one repents and believes the apostolic teaching. The greatest joy of angels is to see and hear Jesus Christ glorified in accordance with the apostle's doctrine. The church of the apostles shall judge angels, and specifically those angels that received and accepted worship from men. Psa 91:10-16; Luk 4:10; Luk 12:8; 12:9; 15:10; Joh 1:5; 1Co 6:3; Col 2:18
The angels loosed, the destruction that destroyed a third part of men. The angels with Michael fought against the dragon; and defeated him. The angels cast the dragon and his angels out of heaven. The seven angels have the seven last plagues which are filled with the wrath of God. The seven angels came pour out golden vials full of the wrath of God. The seven angels, pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. The seven angels pours out judgment on the false pastors and women preachers. Twelve stand at the twelve gates, upon which are written the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:(Gen 19:1) (Psa 78:49)Rev 9:15Rev 12:7Rev 15:1Rev 15:6; Rev 16:1 Rev 17:1; Rev 21:12).
