The Spirit of Prophecy

Cloven Tongues of Fire

The spirit of prophecy is the gospel interpretation of the cloven tongues of fire. The Apostle's Gospel preaches that the Holy Ghost is given to declare Christ's resurrection to bless with righteousness now and eternal life in the world to come; the publication of the resurrection of Jesus of Galilee is the spirit of prophecy; baptism of water and spirit is the initial fruit of all converts. Jesus said the apostles would receive the promise of the father. This promise was the in filling of the Holy Ghost. Christ filled the apostles with Holy Ghost and, subsequent believers in his resurrection. The particular language or dialect in which they spoke was discernable to all those in Jerusalem; but was not immediately discernable by the speakers. Peter interpreted the meaning of the tongues for hears. These tongues cleaved asunder, distributed and cut in pieces human understanding. It was the language of angels. It was the utterance of the Spirit of God. The tongues spoke gloriously about the resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth. The carnal process of the mind was suspended as Christ spoke as He so fit. The Apostolic Doctrine is a language spoken in a language understandable to all hearers. The fiery language divided and opposed carnal reason and distributed the apostolic gospel of the resurrection of Christ.

Acts 1:8 says: "the tongues of fire is the power of Holy Ghost given to bear witness concerning the resurrection of Jesus of Galilee. It speaks those things concerning the kingdom of God. It speak those thing good for the care, edification, guidance, exhortation, admonition and health of the body of Christ. The apostle's doctrine is the accurate interpretation of the measure of those things which are spoken by the Holy Ghost. Those things spoken by the Holy Ghost are at variance with the carnal mind, but never with the doctrine of the apostles. The Holy Ghost fulfilled the Joel prophecy concerning God's promise to pour out of his spirit on all flesh. Thus the Holy Ghost is the spirit of God, given by Christ. It is the pledge of eternal life. Those who walk in obedience to the Holy Ghost are assured a crown of glory that will never fade away and, sit with Christ in his glorious throne. The Holy Ghost is never at variance with the apostle's doctrine; he is at variance with the god and things of this generation. To be filled with the holy Ghost and, to understanding his operation in the church and in the heart is the nature of the Apostle's Gospel. Many are not filled with the Holy Ghost and, this is discernable through what they preach and the life they live. The resurrection of Christ is the fire of the Holy Ghost and the power of God is the boldness. The Holy Ghost is the " two edge sword" of the personality of Jesus of Nazareth. Act 1:8 says: "You shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto unto the uttermost part of the world. The Apostle's Gospelis the Holy Ghost accomplishing this missionary task.

Jesus Christ, who was born without sin. He is the Holy Ghost in bodily form. Jesus received the Holy Ghost; for he said that it was right for him to be an example and to fulfilled all righteousness. He who is the Holy Ghost, submitted in his spirit, so that he could experience, receiving the Holy Ghost. The scripture said, that the Holy Ghost, came upon Jesus while he was standing in the water. While Jesus was standing in the water, John the Baptist said: “ the heavens opened unto him, and the Spirit of God descended like a dove upon him. The scripture does not say that the Holy Ghost is a bird, was a bird or became a bird. The scripture uses a figure of speech “ like a dove” to denote how submissive Jesus became in his baptism. At his baptism, the angels attended. It thundered and lightened, the water quivered, and John the Baptist prophesied; for is God getting baptism for the remission of sins, and receiving the Holy Ghost. Wherefore in all things it behooved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. By being baptized for the remission of sin and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost; Jesus was being faithful. (Hebrews 2:17).

Jesus Christ, is the Holy Ghost (father: means: same DNA nature) Jesus Christ is the Holy Ghost, conceived (formed, transfigured, made flesh).. Jesus Christ, baptizes with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: Slander or evil speech against the Holy Ghost, shall not be forgiven. whosoever speaks a word the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come; he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost is in danger of eternal damnation. One cannot receive the Holy Ghost, if they despise the spirit of God. The Ghost is given to exalt Jesus Christ. The Holy Ghost is the speech of God. The Holy Ghost is the voice of and presence of the nature of Jesus Christ). John the Baptist, was filled with the Holy Ghost from his mother’s womb. John the Baptist was quickened and leaped in his mother’s womb before he was born.(Mat 1:18, 20; 3:11; 12:31, 32, 36; Mar 13:11; Luke 1:15; 12:10; 1Th 4:8).

Jesus said, God gives the Holy Ghost, to those that ask him. The scripture says: “Jesus Christ, baptizes with the Holy Ghost. The scripture says: “ Those that believe on Jesus Christ, receive the Holy Ghost. The apostles, taught that those that are filled with the Holy Ghost, speak with other tongues, as the Spirit give the utterance. The apostles taught that the Holy Ghost gives the understanding, and the bold confession that, Jesus Christ is God. The apostles taught that, upon hearing and believing the apostolic truth about salvation, Christ seals us the Holy Ghost. We are sealed to prevent the devil from over turning our faith and assured confidence in Jesus Christ. The Holy Ghost is, God’s down payment on the certainty of our salvation. A God who can not lie, made a down payment on our salvation. We are not able to contain in these earthen vessels, the full measure of the power of God. When the full measure of the power of God, breaks forth upon us, we shall be changed from mortal to immortality. When the full measure of the power of God breaks forth upon us, it shall happen to us, as it happen to Jesus on the mount of transfiguration. On the mount of transfiguration, the bodily form of Jesus was changed from the visible to the invisible. Our promised inheritance is an immortal and eternal life in the heavenlies. The Holy Ghost preserves us so that we can boldly rejoice at the coming of Christ. (Isa 63:10; Luke 4:1; John 1:33; 7:39; 11:13; Act 2:4; 1Co 12:3; Eph 1:13; 4:30).

In Luke 24:49, Jesus told the apostles:” to wait in the city of Jerusalem, for that which God has promised. Wait in the city of Jerusalem, until you be endued with power from on high”. The Holy Ghost is the promised endowment from heaven. An endowment is that which sinks into us. An endowment, is an investment. It is an inheritance. It is the putting on of a special and unique protective, security blanket. Christ has placed in us his spirit. We are his investments. To be endowed with the Holy Ghost is to be arrayed with power and glory of God.

In Acts Chapter 2:1-47, The apostles received the Holy Ghost, at the feast of the first fruits (Pentecost). They knew that has received the Holy ghost, because they began speak with the tongues of angels, ( a speech not of their own learning or culture). They began to speak in a language that was inspired and uttered by God. At this feast, the Holy Ghost said that the baptism of the Holy Ghost was a gift available to all who repent, and are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. The gift is for as many as the Lord shall call.

In Acts Chapter 8:4 Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ. When they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized. The apostles, Peter and John, then came down from Jerusalem and prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost. The apostles laid their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

In Acts chapter 10:44, 46 Peter preached the truth of Apostolic Gospel to a Gentile named, Cornelius, of Caesarea. Peter, had to defend his actions to the other Apostles, as to why he had preached to a Gentile. Peter said: “I know God has received them, for while I was still preaching, the Holy Ghost fell on Cornelius and those that was with him. It happened to them just as it happened to us. Just like we spoke in tongues, they sake in tongues. This how I know that God has received them. Peter said, on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost; for we heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Peter said: “God, which knows the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us”.

In Acts 19:2-6, when Paul was passing through the upper coast and came to Ephesus, he came across some disciples, and he asked them: “Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed?”. They said: “We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. Then Paul asked: “Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. Then said Paul, said that they should believe Christ Jesus. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then, Paul laid his hands upon them, and the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spoke with tongues.

This heavenly inspired language is, a sign that one has received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Tongues are given as a sign to dispel all doubt about the power and reality of Christ. No one who has received the gift of the Holy Ghost can deny that it came from God. It is a sign that one has began to meet the principles of salvation. Having the principles of the doctrine, we must now go on to perfection. God has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness. The Holy Ghost is all we need in this life to be prosper naturally and spiritually. The Holy Ghost is the enabling power of God, sufficient for our personal advance against sin, our successful walk in Christ, and publishing the apostolic gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Ghost operating, in the life of the believer, is all we need to be transformed into that glorious body of immortality at the appearance of Jesus Christ. The divinely inspired utterance, is a sign that God has received your repentance and has given you the spiritual instrument to work out the salvation of your soul. This spiritual instrument is, for personal edification in prayer and spiritual growth, development and maturity (the fruit of the spirit). It is for the public edification of the body of Christ by the manifestation of the gifts of the spirit (the seven fold ministry).

The Holy Ghost is the literal body of Jesus Christ, made available to us in his resurrection. The Holy Ghost, in the church, is the invisible resurrected body of Christ. The Holy Ghost, is the invisible Christ. The Holy Ghost is the spirit and presence, of Christ, in the church. The promised seed of Abraham, is the Holy Ghost. Everybody in the NT that confessed and , repented of sin and was baptized into the name of Jesus for the remission of sin, received the Holy Ghost. They knew that they received the Holy Ghost because they sake with tongues as the spirit gave them the utterance. These principles are essential for Salvation: Confession, Repentance, baptism into the name of Jesus Christ (the attributes of God); remission of sins; receipt of the gift of the Holy Ghost; and steadfast continuance, in the apostolic doctrine, of rejoicing in sanctification until the appearance of Jesus Christ, from heaven, with the saints and angelic host.

Rebellion vexes the Holy Ghost, and makes God turns to be one’s enemy and fight against them. We must not rebel, vex, blaspheme, or sin against the Holy Ghost. We must not lie to, grieve or quench, the Holy Ghost. For if we do so, God will turn and fight against us as an enemy. We are not to abuse or misuse the Holy Ghost, (resist, quench, grieve, vex or rebel against). To do so is to bring hurt to our own soul.

When receive the Holy Ghost, not to prophesy about private, personal things, or to teach and preach our own doctrine; but the holy Ghost is given that we might how to prophesy concerning the Lord Jesus Christ and those things of sound doctrine that edify the body of Christ. The Holy Ghost teaches us what we preach and teach about Jesus Christ. The Holy Ghost, comes in the name of Jesus (with all the attributes of Christ). The Holy Ghost is the character of Christ, that comforts and consoles us. The Holy Ghost, knows everything taught by Christ; and the Holy Ghost brings every things to our remembrance. Concerning, Jesus Christ, The Holy Ghost teaches us everything. Christ, commands us to: “ Receive the Holy Ghost”. Jesus Christ, through the Holy Ghost, gave commandments unto the apostles as to what they should teach and preach. (Luke 1:41, 67; 3:22; 12:12; 14:26; 20: 20; Acts 1:2)

Jesus told the apostles, you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. Jesus told the apostles, that the Holy Ghost was the authority to boldly preach and teach the truth concerning Jesus Christ. The Holy Ghost comes with strings attached: “go ye into all the world and preach the gospel and make disciples of all nations”. You shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me unto the uttermost part of the earth. (Acts 1:8)

All the apostles, were filled with the Holy Ghost, and spoke with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. They received the promise God made to Abraham. The promise that said: “in thy seed, all the families of the earth shall be blessed”. Therefore, the pouring out of the Holy Ghost, is the shedding forth of the promise God made to Abraham. To wit, Peter said: “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spoke the word of God with boldness. (Act 1:5, 8, 16; 2:4, 2:33, 2:38; 4:31)

While Peter yet spoke these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. They of the circumcision, who came with Peter, were astonished, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? . And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. . Then remembered I the word of the Lord you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. Paul also, was filled with the Holy Ghost. (Act 8:17, 18, 19; 9:17, 31; 10:38, 44, 45, 47; 11:15, 16, 24; 13:2, 4)

Then Paul, being filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him, . And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spoke with tongues, and prophesied. (Act 13:9, 52; 15:8, 28; 16:6; 19:2, 6; 20:23).

The Holy Ghost, bears witness to the conscience. It shed the love of God in the heart. It makes us bold. To speak the truth in Christ. Ghost, . For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. . Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. . That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Ghost teaches; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. (Rom 5:5; 9:1; 14:17; 15:13, 16)

Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost manifests in us pureness, knowledge, longsuffering, and kindness. The apostolic gospel is preached by the Holy Ghost, in assurance and power . The saints are kept and receive the word with joy of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is that attribute of the blood of Jesus, which cleanses, regenerate (spiritual rebirth; the act of the spiritual restoration) of the soul. The Holy Ghost, renews the soul, (produces a new soul consecrated to God. The Holy Ghost restores a new soul in the body. A soul risen from the dead. It is not by our own works of righteousness, that we are saved, but by the grace and mercy of God. God bears witness to us, with signs, wonders, divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost.(1Co 2:13; 6:19; 12:3; 2Co 6:6; 2Co 13:14; 1Th 1:5, 6; 2Ti 1:14; Tit 3:5).

The Holy Ghost is, the gift of heavenly enlightenment. The Holy Ghost, ministers the things that were sent down from heaven. The angels desire to know the things, that are hidden from them, which are ministered by the Holy Ghost. The angels desire to look into these things. Holy men of God, prophesy as they are moved by the Holy Ghost. (Hebrews 2:4; 3:7; 6:4; 9:8; 10:15; 1Pe 1:12; 2Pe 1:21; 1Jo 5:7; Jude 1:20)
